Your privacy is important to us. This Privacy Policy describes how DEFYclan.com (“we”, “us”, “our”, “DEFY”, or “DEFY Clan”) collects information through your use of our website, game servers, or any other services that we operate.
Information We Collect
Registration: When registering an account on our website we collect your username and email address so that you can access the services provided to registered users. The email address provided upon registration may be shared with third parties in order to be checked against a database of known spammers. If your account is found posting spam we may share your email with third parties so they can add the email to their database. Upon registering you may choose to opt out of receiving marketing emails, new emails, etc. In the event you forget your password you may submit a password reset and you will be emailed.
Posts, Profile, and personal messages: Through your use of our website you have the ability to create content such as but not limited to posts, topics, personal messages, etc. Most content which is posted can be viewed by the public. Personal messages can only be viewed by the members in the conversation with the exception of Forum Admins who can view them if a user reported the personal message. All content that you post will be attached to the username which you created upon registration.
Purchasing Goods or Services: When making a purchase at our online store, additional information may be required . Such as your first name, last name, billing address, and phone number. This additional information may be shared with our payment processor(s) such as PayPal in order to process your transaction. We also store the information in order to uniquely identify you and provide you with the goods and services purchased and for a faster checkout in the future.
Browser: When browsing our website we automatically collect and store your IP address and User Agent information associated with an account on our website. IP addresses also provide location information which may be used to autofill fields in forms for you. We store this information to better assist users as well as to identify users on our website. Your ip address may also be checked against a database of known spammers. This information is only accessible to a select few members of Staff.
Cookies: Our site uses what is known as “cookies” to provide but not limited to a personalized experience. Cookies allow you to remember the account, so that you do not need to login each time you visit our site. Steam: If you choose to sign up with steam or link your steam account. Steam shares a token with us that provides the link between your steam account and our website. The link does not provide us any access to your account, it simply gives us information such as your steam username, profile photo, steam id.
Game Servers: When playing on our game servers we may collect usernames, steamid, and IP addresses, and any other identifiable information. We do this to provide a safe and better experience for our players.
Authorities
In the event that we may be asked to disclose information collected under legal obligation in response to lawful requests or are required to, we will do so where permitted.
Abuse Contact
We may share information collected such as IP addresses, timestamps, and abusive content with ISPs of the offending IP address or any third party we deem that needs to be notified.
Demos
Some of our servers may auto record demos. These demos record voice as well as game play within our servers. Demos are like cameras found in a store. The primary purpose for demos is to ensure a smooth experience for all users ensuring rule breakers don’t disturb the server and staff follow protocols.These demos may be used as evidence in reports against players or staff. While playing on our servers you should always be mindful of the information you provide as demos may be downloaded, reviewed or used at a later date by anyone.
Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act Compliance
Our site, products and services are all directed to people who are 13 years of age or older. If you are under the age of 13, per the requirements of COPPA (Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act), do not use any of our platforms or services.
Third Parties
We do not directly sell, rent, or trade any of the information you provide to third parties. However some information provided is shared with third parties in order to provide our services.
Google Analytics: The Google Analytics service is provided by Google Inc.(“Google”).
